US-EPA Method 1311
US-EPA Method 1311 TCLP testing to determine the mobility of organic and inorganic contaminants present in liquid, solid, and multiphasic wastes - essential for TSDF landfill acceptance.
Samples are subjected to an acetic acid extraction fluid (pH 4.93 ± 0.05 or 2.88 ± 0.05 depending on waste alkalinity) with 18-hour rotary agitation at 30 RPM before filtrate analysis via ICP-OES and GC-MS.
Hazardous Waste Rules 2016
Classification of biological sludge, chemical precipitation cake, and evaporator salt under the Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules 2016.
Moisture content (%), Total Solids (%), Volatile Solids (%), Specific Gravity, Sludge Volume Index (SVI).
Ignitibility, Corrosivity (pH < 2 or > 12.5), Reactivity (Cyanide/Sulphide release), Toxicity.
