Bring ponds back.
Keep them alive.

Testing, desilting, sewage interception and natural treatment that turn silted, polluted ponds and lakes into clean, working water bodies, backed by our own laboratory.

Why it matters now

India's ponds store water, recharge wells and cool towns.

Most of India's water bodies are small ponds in villages and towns. Many are silted up, choked with weeds or fed by untreated sewage, so they hold less water and recharge less groundwater. National programmes now fund their revival, and cities, industries and campuses are restoring ponds on their own land.

Challenge and response

Why revived ponds often decline again.

  1. 01
    The challenge

Sewage and drain water keep flowing in after desilting.

    How we solve it

Intercept and treat inflows before they reach the pond.

  2. 02
    The challenge

Silt returns with the first heavy rain.

    How we solve it

Silt traps and stable, planted banks at every inlet.

  3. 03
    The challenge

Algae and water hyacinth take over within a season.

    How we solve it

Cut the nutrients that feed them, then aerate and plant.

  4. 04
    The challenge

No one checks water quality after handover.

    How we solve it

Scheduled testing by our laboratory and a clear upkeep plan.

What we deliver

Six services, one team.

Assess

Water, sediment and site survey

Find out what is wrong before anything is dug.

  • Water and sediment testing in our lab
  • Depth, silt and inlet survey
  • Catchment and pollution source mapping
Intercept

Stop polluted inflows

Deal with the cause, not just the symptoms.

  • Drain diversion and interception
  • Screens and silt traps at inlets
  • Compact STPs or natural treatment for inflows
Restore

Desilting and reshaping

Give the pond back its depth and storage.

  • Planned desilting and silt disposal
  • Bund and bank strengthening
  • Gentle, stable side slopes
Treat

In-pond natural treatment

Improve water quality inside the pond.

  • Aeration and fountains
  • Bioremediation with microbial cultures
  • Floating wetlands and native plants
Recharge

Green edges and recharge

Help the pond feed groundwater and wildlife.

  • Constructed wetlands at the margins
  • Recharge structures where suitable
  • Native planting on banks
Maintain

Monitoring and upkeep

Keep the pond healthy after handover.

  • Seasonal water quality testing
  • Weed and silt management
  • Operation and maintenance contracts

How we work

How we deliver, from first sample to a living pond.

  1. 1

    Test

Water, sediment and inflow samples in our lab.

  2. 2

    Plan

Inflow control, desilting and treatment design.

  3. 3

    Restore

    Interception, desilting, banks and planting.

  4. 4

    Verify

Test again to confirm the water has improved.

  5. 5

    Sustain

    Seasonal monitoring and upkeep.

Standards and regulations

Designed to the standards that apply to your water body.

We set clear water quality targets for each pond based on how it will be used, and test against them.

  • CPCB water quality criteriaTargets by designated best use, such as bathing or wildlife.
  • IS 2296Classes and limits for inland surface waters.
  • Mission Amrit Sarovar guidelinesDesign and upkeep norms for revived water bodies.
  • Wetlands (Conservation and Management) Rules, 2017Rules for notified wetlands and their surroundings.
  • Environment (Protection) Rules, 1986Limits for any treated water discharged to the pond.

Where it fits

Built for the places that depend on it.

  • Village panchayats and Amrit Sarovars
  • Municipal lakes and urban ponds
  • Industrial campuses and parks
  • Hotels, resorts and campuses
  • Temple tanks and heritage water bodies

Why Rispri

One accountable partner, from lab bench to living pond.

Lab and engineering under one roof

Our accredited laboratory tests the pond before work starts and proves the improvement after. No hand-offs between vendors.

Treatment expertise since 1999

The same team that designs ETPs, STPs and natural treatment systems plans how to keep polluted inflows out of your pond.

Causes fixed, not hidden

We stop sewage and silt at the source, so the pond does not slide back after one monsoon.

We stay after handover

Seasonal testing, weed and silt management, and upkeep contracts keep the pond healthy for years.

Questions

Frequently asked questions.

Does the pond have to be drained?

Not always. Desilting is easiest when the pond is low or dry, so it is usually planned for the dry season. Water quality work such as aeration, bioremediation and floating wetlands can be done with water in the pond.

Can you remove water hyacinth for good?

Removing it is the easy part. It comes back if sewage and fertiliser keep feeding the pond. We remove the weed and cut the nutrients that feed it, then keep an eye on it through the season.

How do we know the pond has really improved?

Our laboratory tests the water and sediment before work begins and again after restoration, against targets set for how the pond will be used. You get the results in a report.

Can a pond on our campus help with groundwater?

Often yes. A restored pond with recharge structures, where the soil allows, can help replenish groundwater. We assess the site first to see what is practical.
